Nonprofit Executive Roundtable (NET) is a peer-learning cohort for nonprofit leaders. Since 2017, NET has supported more than 100 Executive Directors and CEOs, offering a trusted, confidential circle where real challenges are shared openly, and real support, insight, and clarity follow
Participants Experience
NET creates a trusted space where nonprofit leaders can speak openly about the challenges they’re facing right now. Participants unpack complex decisions, leadership pressures, and organizational realities in a confidential setting designed for trust, clarity, and growth. And offering you a pathway to solutions.
By drawing on the collective experience of peers, participants gain thoughtful, real-world feedback that leads to clearer decisions, stronger leadership, and measurable progress within their organizations.
Every session is designed to deliver takeaways that matter. From leadership strategies to operational insights, members leave with tangible tools, perspectives, and ideas,helping your organization move forward with confidence.
NET offers a unique community of leaders who truly understand the challenges and opportunities of nonprofit leadership. Here, participants build meaningful peer relationships.
Designed for busy executives, NET meets once a month for a focused 90-minute session. The virtual format makes participation easy, while the structure ensures every meeting is purposeful and, engaging.

The Facilitators
Sue Heilman
A veteran nonprofit executive with 25+ years of leadership experience across organizations including Horizons for Homeless Children, MassEquality, and the Hull Lifesaving Museum. Sue brings extensive interim ED experience and ESC consulting expertise with organizations including the Victim Rights Law Center and the Family Nurturing Center. She is known for her grounded, steady, and practical approach to leadership challenges.
Julie Crawford
Former ESC President, seasoned nonprofit leader, and long‑time NET adviser. Julie brings deep experience in strategy, governance, and executive leadership from both ESC and as former President of the Emerald Necklace Conservancy. Her facilitation style is empathetic, thoughtful, and focused on real‑world application.

The 2025–2026 NET cohort is currently underway and not accepting new participants.

- Recommended profile: nonprofit with $300K+ budget and 3+ staff
