ESC’s 2025 Impact: Showing Up for Nonprofits
Earlier this week, I wrote about the importance of making “the work behind the work” visible—the people, relationships, and care that make everything we do at ESC possible. In times like these, with unprecedented challenges facing the sector, it feels especially important to ground ourselves in gratitude and community.
Today, I’m excited to share another side of that story: the impact that community makes possible.
ESC’s 2025 Annual Report is now live, highlighting what we’ve accomplished alongside our partners across New England.
At a time when nonprofits are being asked to do more with fewer resources, increased demand and greater uncertainty, ESC exists to provide steady, trusted support. Our work—clarifying strategy, supporting planning, strengthening leadership, aligning boards and staff, improving systems—contributes to very real outcomes. Organizations become more resilient, more strategic, and better positioned to serve their communities.
In 2025, that work translated into:
- 4,757 hours of donated service from highly skilled volunteer consultants
- More than $1.3 million in leveraged value delivered to nonprofit organizations
- Partnerships with nonprofits navigating critical moments of growth, change, and complexity
What stands out most to me, though, is the experience of our nonprofit partners. Nearly all of the organizations we work with tell us they value ESC’s approach—our ability to listen closely, meet them where they are, and deliver practical, actionable support they can truly own.
That level of trust is everything. It reflects not only the expertise of our volunteer consultants, but their deep commitment to showing up with humility, rigor, and care.
And it speaks to something we believe strongly at ESC: capacity building is the deeply human work of partnering with leaders to navigate uncertainty and complexity, so their organizations can continue to do what communities need most.
This matters so much right now.
Our model—bringing seasoned, mission-driven volunteer consultants into partnership with nonprofit leaders—allows us to deliver high-impact support in a way that is both accessible and deeply effective.
To our volunteers, partners, and supporters: thank you for making this work possible, and for believing in the importance of a strong, resilient nonprofit sector.
